Democrats New Image Is to Ditch PC Terms and Support Cutting Red Tape

Since their defeat last November, Democrats’ polling numbers are dismal.

Now looking to “revamp” their image, some liberal groups are considering adopting a policy of eliminating politically correct words and terminology, and focusing on reducing government deregulation in housing.

Dumping Politically Correct Terms and Words.

To make a comeback, liberal think tank Third Way is advising Democrats to reshape the way they talk to voters and to ditch democratic “code words” like Privilege, Triggering, Microaggression, Progressive stack, Centering, Safe space, Cultural appropriation, Barriers to participation, the unhoused, Food insecurity, Housing insecurity.

Third Way is also telling Democrats to cut out the Gender/Orientation Correctness and stop using words such as, Birthing person/inseminated person, Pregnant people, Cisgender and LGBTQIA+

And stop using words like Latinx and Minoritized communities when dealing with people of color.

“Before you draft your angry tweet thread, think about conversations with persuadable voters in your own life—especially friends, family, and co-workers—and consider whether the use of the language above would help or hurt your case. Recognize that much of the language above is a red flag for a sizable segment of the American public. It is not because they are bigots; they simply don’t understand what these terms mean and become distrustful of those who use them. So instead, they keep quiet. They don’t join the conversation, they leave it,’ said Third Way

Looking To Be More Pro-Business.

Another area Democrats are being advised to turn the corner on is regulations. Affordable housing has become a big issue nationwide, and here in the state of Florida

This is being called the “Abundance” movement. It focuses on cutting red tape, bureaucracy, and excessive regulation when it comes to promoting government programs in the fields of housing, energy, and the climate.

“It sounds like Democrats are trying to have their own MAGA movement,’ said Barney Bishop, former Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party.

Bishop says the “identity change,” if it happens, could win over some independent voters. “Democrats have to find something news, instead of just being the party that opposes Trump on everything,” said Bishop.
