Some of the larger car insurance groups in Florida said lower rates will be hitting consumers this year by an average of 8%.
These companies include State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Allstate, and USAA.
But not everybody will pay less, and new data out this year shows drivers aren’t satisfied with the insurance they are getting.
A recent survey by Insurance.com finds that overall customer satisfaction among auto insurers fell by 3% between 2024 and 2025, while satisfaction with the fairness of rate increases dropped by 5%. Claims handling satisfaction also declined, falling from 82% in 2024 to 78% in 2025.
Despite declining satisfaction in several areas, most drivers still trust their insurers and plan to stay with them.
In fact, 90% of respondents say they trust their insurer, and 93% plan to renew their policies, both slightly higher than last year.
Key findings include:
Overall auto insurance customer satisfaction declined from 88% in 2024 to 85% in 2025
Satisfaction with the fairness of rate increases dropped from 60% to 55%
Claims handling satisfaction fell 4 percentage points, from 82% to 78%
Satisfaction among teen and young drivers declined by 10%
Only 61% of drivers say they are satisfied with discounts offered by insurers
At the same time, many drivers say they don’t fully understand why their premiums are increasing, which can negatively affect overall satisfaction.
Though customer satisfaction with auto insurers declined, drivers also reported a slight increase in feeling their insurers were trustworthy, and renewal rates rose slightly.
