Senator Ashley Moody today rallied Florida law enforcement leaders at the Florida Sheriff’s Association Summer Conference. During the conference in Doral, Sen. Moody announced Florida’s fast-declining fentanyl death rate, thanked sheriffs for their role in the sharp decline, and laid out legislative plans to keep our state moving in the right direction.
“During my time as Attorney General, Florida led the nation in fentanyl interdiction efforts, saw its opioid death rate fall faster than the national average and put free naloxone and other resources in the hands of first responders. As U.S. Senator, I will continue to provide Florida’s great sheriffs with the resources they need to fight the drug overdose epidemic, save lives and help communities heal. It was great to stand in support of law enforcement leaders from across the state at the FSA summer conference in Doral today,” said Senator Ashley Moody.
