In late October, Kelly Ortberg, the president and CEO of Boeing, outlined several challenges facing the company. These challenges include diminished trust in the organization, a heavy debt burden, and performance shortcomings that have disappointed customers.
Ortberg noted the silver lining of a backlog of work valued at half a trillion dollars and the return of employees from a recent strike involving over 33,000 workers.
