Breeze Airways, the Salt Lake City–based low-cost airline, is expanding its footprint in Florida with two new nonstop routes launching this fall, including new service to Orlando and the return of service to Tampa.
Starting October 3, Breeze will begin nonstop flights between Norfolk, Virginia (ORF) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). The route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Orlando has been a part of Breeze’s growing network since June 2022, as the airline continues to link underserved cities with high-demand destinations across the country.
Also on October 3, Breeze will resume service between Charleston, West Virginia (CRW) and Tampa International Airport (TPA). The route, which also runs twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, marks Breeze’s 30th nonstop destination from Tampa, reinforcing the city’s position as a strategic hub for the airline.
The Norfolk–Orlando and Charleston–Tampa flights are part of Breeze’s broader strategy to offer affordable nonstop travel between mid-sized cities and popular leisure markets. Instead of connecting through major hubs, Breeze focuses on direct flights that save time and offer low fares to travelers.
“These new and returning routes will allow our guests to conveniently connect to more amazing destinations across our network,” said Breeze founder and CEO David Neeleman in a statement.
For Florida travelers, the expanded service means more options for weekend getaways, business trips, and family visits. Breeze’s growing presence in Orlando and Tampa is a sign of strong passenger demand and the airline’s commitment to expanding service throughout the Sunshine State.
