Congressman Bean: Help is on the way: One Big Beautiful Bill Delivers Real Relief for All Northeast Floridians

I’ve got breaking news—help is on the way!

To Northeast Florida’s small business owners facing economic uncertainty, our farmers fighting to keep our nation fed, and the countless families struggling under the weight of inflation, Washington is finally delivering real, lasting relief.

With the House passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), we are one step closer to stopping the largest tax increase in U.S. history and ensuring that everyday Northeast Floridians receive the financial support they need to succeed and thrive.

If the 2017 tax cuts expire, the consequences for Northeast Florida would be devastating. More than 400,000 taxpayers would see a 25% tax hike, and a family of four at the median income would face a $1,372 increase—the equivalent of eight weeks of groceries. Hardworking Floridians simply cannot afford this burden, and that’s why I’m fighting to keep it from happening.

The facts are clear: The OBBB is pro-worker, pro-growth, pro-jobs, pro-family, and 100% pro-American.

This is real tax relief for all Northeast Floridians. It’s not for millionaires and billionaires, but a lifeline for servers who rely on tips, hourly workers putting in overtime, families trying to make ends meet, and seniors on fixed incomes struggling under inflation.

The OBBB makes the Child Tax Credit permanent, providing real relief to more than 80,000 families in Northeast Florida by protecting the financial security of parents and children across our region. It makes the small business deduction permanent for more than 88,000 small businesses, ensuring they continue to grow, hire, and thrive. It ensures that our seniors, aged 65 and older, receive an additional $4,000 tax deduction. Most importantly, it safeguards 94% of taxpayers from seeing their Guaranteed Deduction slashed in half, preventing undue financial strain on hardworking Floridians.

But this bill does more than just cut taxes—it unleashes economic freedom by enhancing education savings options, lowering household costs, and strengthening Medicaid to ensure benefits are available to those who genuinely need them. This bill protects our workforce rather than being undercut by foreign competitors. It ends tax giveaways to hostile nations like China, prevents illegal immigrants from draining resources meant for U.S. citizens and legal residents, secures the border by funding the southern border wall, and encourages American manufacturing so that Made in America will mean something once more.

Getting here wasn’t easy, but my colleagues and I worked with President Trump to make a stronger America possible.

The One Big Beautiful Bill is about delivering hope and prosperity to the hardworking Northeast Floridians who don’t ask for much—just a fair shot. It’s for those who quietly pay their bills, raise their families, and do their best to make ends meet.  This bill stands as a promise that America will succeed, laying the foundation for an economy that works for everyone, not just today, but for generations to come.

The House has done its job, and now it’s up to the Senate to stand with American workers, families, and small businesses.

So, buckle up, Northeast Florida—because when it comes to the OBBB, the Golden Age of America is ready for takeoff!
