The conservative group Florida Family Voice (FFV) is achieving some early success in this year’s legislative session.

CHURCHES MAY SOON BE PROTECTED TO RECRUIT VOLUNTEER ARMED SECURITY
This Legislation would grant churches and religious institutions greater flexibility to provide volunteer security services advanced this week, affirming both religious freedom and the responsibility to protect congregations amid
rising threats.
FAITH-BASED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REFORM PROGRAMS
This protects the ability of faith-based counselors to participate in Batterers’ Intervention Programs without compromising their beliefs. FTV says the bill marks an important step toward preventing discrimination against faith-based providers.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
FTV says this item is one step closer to being part of the state constitution.
The legislation advances the Public School Religious Freedom Constitutional and if approved by the Legislature, the measure would go before voters later this year and enshrine protections for religious liberty and expression in public schools into Florida’s Constitution.
PRO-LIFE VICTORY
The group says the latest win for the prolife movement involves legislation providing civil liability for the unborn, passed the full Florida House.
FTV said the measure recognizes the dignity of unborn life and provides a path for accountability when wrongful occurs. The hope this bill makes it through the state Senate.
Over the years, FTV has racked up some conservative victories.
Some of those include leading the charge for passing Florida’s Parental Consent Before an Abortion law.
FFV played a pivotal role in advancing pro-family legislation, including the Parents’ Rights in Education and Heartbeat Protection laws. Drawing national attention, the organization hosted Leadership Summits on protecting children from transgender ideology, forums to help parents respond to critical race theory, and rallies supporting medical freedom.
They were also part of helping pass laws that ensure parental rights, school choice, and medical conscience protections.
