Conservative-Leaning Poll Says Under 50% of Americans Expect to Earn More Money Within Next Year

Data from the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds 46% expect to be earning more money a year from now, while 10% think they’ll be earning less, and 38% say they’ll be earning about the same amount in a year. Those numbers haven’t improved since last April, when President Joe Biden was still in office.

The survey of 1,171 American Adults was conducted on March 25-27, 2025 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
