Conducted by luxury villa rentals company SopranoVillas, the study analyzed data from Airbnb.com, focusing specifically on Airbnb Lux properties to evaluate the pricing of luxurious accommodations. The findings highlight the top 10 states that provide the most cost-effective luxury options.

South Carolina takes the lead with a median nightly price of $1,202.28 for luxury rentals. However, only 6% of the available properties fall into the luxury category, indicating that while options are limited, they are affordable for travelers seeking an upscale experience.

Georgia ranks second with a median price of $1,292.58 per night and a significantly higher percentage of luxury properties—75% of its listings offer upscale accommodations. Known for its scenic charm and southern hospitality, Georgia presents an appealing blend of affordability and luxury for Christmas travelers.

In third place, Arizona has luxury rentals averaging $1,517.04 per night, but only 28% of its properties fall into the luxury category.

Utah comes in fourth, with a median price of $1,959.51 per night for luxury rentals, where 37% of its properties fit this classification.

Rounding out the top five, Florida offers a median price of $2,413.59 per night for luxury stays, with 21% of its rental properties categorized as luxury.
