TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced developments in two child exploitation cases involving suspects accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to the Attorney General’s Office.
Authorities said Devon Huart, 20, of Leesburg, was rearrested on additional charges after investigators discovered more illegal material during a continuing investigation. Huart now faces 11 counts of possession of child pornography.
The investigation began Jan. 23, 2026, after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicated that Huart had allegedly shared CSAM online. Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed a search warrant at Huart’s residence on Jan. 30, 2026, and initially arrested him on one count of possession of child pornography.
According to investigators, Huart later admitted to possessing the material during a post-Miranda interview. Authorities said forensic analysis uncovered ten additional files, leading to ten more possession charges.
Investigators also reported finding communications on Huart’s TikTok account that they described as concerning. Officials said that portion of the investigation remains ongoing and could lead to additional charges.
Huart is currently being held in the Lake County Jail on a $100,000 bond. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 165 years in prison. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit.
In a separate case, Michael Ambrosio, 52, of New Port Richey, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading to multiple charges related to possession and distribution of CSAM.
Authorities said Ambrosio’s IP address was identified Oct. 18, 2023, during an undercover internet investigation conducted by FDLE targeting individuals using peer-to-peer software to distribute illegal material involving children.
FDLE agents executed a search warrant at Ambrosio’s residence on Jan. 17, 2024, where he was arrested. Investigators said they recovered 15 files containing graphic images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of young children, which were stored on Ambrosio’s desktop computer.
On Feb. 13, 2026, Ambrosio entered an open plea to 15 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession with intent to promote. A judge sentenced him to 25 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.
That case was prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, since Uthmeier’s appointment in February 2025, the Office of Statewide Prosecution has been involved in more than 1,400 arrests of suspected child predators and has participated in more than 1,500 investigations related to child exploitation.
Law enforcement officials said investigations into online exploitation of children remain ongoing statewide.
