U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) and U.S. Congressman Cory Mills (FL-07), co-chairs of the Congressional DOGE Caucus, introduced H.R. 2006, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Act. This significant legislation aims to establish and implement President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency into federal law.
Upon the bill’s introduction, Congressman Bean stated, “DOGE’s mission is to improve government efficiency and to prevent the misuse of taxpayer dollars—and it is accomplishing that mission. As co-chair of the House DOGE Caucus, I am proud to join Congressman Mills in introducing the DOGE Act to codify President Trump’s executive order into law. The American people overwhelmingly support efforts to end waste, fraud, and abuse, and we are committed to restoring accountability to the government.”
Congressman Mills added, “According to the agency itself, DOGE has already achieved over $115 billion in savings, which translates to more than $700 in savings per taxpayer. They are actively identifying and eliminating waste and fraud, including the cancellation of 104 DEI contracts that saved the government more than $1 billion. One of my most notable findings was the identification of an $8 million expenditure by the Biden administration for transgender experiments on mice. This is the type of wasteful spending that the American taxpayer deserves transparency on.”
Cosigners of the bill include Representatives: Byron Donalds (FL-19), Barry Moore (AL-01), Michael Rulli (OH-06), Victoria Spartz (IN-05), Darrell Issa (CA-48), and Mary Miller (IL-15).
