To help Floridians prepare for hurricane season, Farm Share, Florida’s largest independent food bank, is partnering with internationally recognized Disaster Relief Nonprofit Global Empowerment Mission to distribute hurricane preparedness supplies at nine locations across Florida on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 9 a.m. This single-day statewide event will provide free hurricane supply kits to 6,500 Florida families, and is sponsored by the American Red Cross and Neighbors 4 Neighbors.
“We know the fear and uncertainty that hurricane season brings for so many Florida families,” said Stephen Shelley, CEO of Farm Share. “That’s why we’re committed to showing up, before, during, and after the storm, to make sure our neighbors have the support and supplies they need to stay safe and recover.”
