One of the world’s largest timeshare resorts is cutting hundreds of jobs in Florida. Earlier today, Orlando Business Journal reported that Westgate Resorts is cutting 357 job positions at its office located at 8680 Commodity Circle in Orlando.
The news comes less than four months after David Siegel, the resort’s billionaire founder, announced that he was stepping down from his role as CEO.

”A June 28 notice to the state from the Orlando-based timeshare company and its related Westgate Marketing LLC said 357 jobs at 8680 Commodity Circle will be cut by Aug. 30,” Orlando Business Journal said. “More details about the layoffs were not immediately available.”
Siegel ended his role as CEO to devote his time and focus toward the Victoria’s Voice Foundation, named in honor of his daughter, who died of an opioid overdose.
