Integrity Florida (IF) says an outside agency is needed to probe the CFO investigation of dental practice arrest attempts.
Claims have been made that the CFO’s office supported a prosecution coinciding with a civil case involving campaign donors.
Following the news reports from publications including Florida Daily, Florida Bulldog, Mike Deeson Reporting, and Eye on Jacksonville, Integrity Florida sent out a press release stating that significant questions have been raised about a suspicious and apparently tarnished investigation launched by Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.
“His law enforcement offices have made arrests and allegations of Medicaid fraud – in the dental practice offices of adversaries of major recent donors to Patronis’ PAC, Treasure Florida,” notes the press release.
“This has all led to charges being dropped and prosecutors taking a pass on pursuing cases further, though there remain ongoing efforts to discredit people’s reputations. Integrity Florida urges action by independent professionals outside of the Department of Financial Services – appointed by Attorney General Ashley Moody or Governor Ron DeSantis – to find the facts and truth,” said Integrity Florida.
Both sides of this story have been and will continue to be covered by Florida Daily.
