March of Dimes and Aetna Better Health of Florida Partner to Support Families Through NICU Distribution Event

Tampa, FL – Today, March of Dimes hosted a special Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Care Kit Distribution Event in partnership with Aetna Better Health of Florida. The event took place in honor of World Prematurity Day at HCA Brandon.

The NICU Distribution Kits provided essential care items, emotional support resources, and educational materials to families currently navigating the NICU journey. The initiative reflects the March of Dimes’ commitment to ensuring every baby gets the best possible start and that no parent feels alone in one of life’s most vulnerable moments.

“We are incredibly grateful that with this partnership with Aetna Better Health of Florida, we are able to bring parents much needed resources during what is an incredibly hectic and scary time,” March of Dimes said. “While these kits may not ease all of the tension of moving from the hospital to home, it provides items that can make it a bit easier. Together, we hope to provide families with practical items and resources that will be helpful to families during this daunting period of a child’s life.”

For many parents, having a newborn in the NICU brings additional challenges and emotional strain. These complimentary kits, filled with essential items and helpful resources, are designed to ease the transition from hospital to home, offering both practical support and a message of care from the community. They serve as a reminder that families are not alone on this journey and that a network of support stands ready to help them every step of the way.

March of Dimes, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the health of moms and babies, has partnered with Aetna Better Health of Florida, a trusted health plan committed to supporting families across the state.

Through this collaboration, they are providing these kits, to ensure patients and families receive extra comfort, encouragement, and practical tools during one of life’s most challenging and rewarding seasons.
