New Agreement Between Uber, Delta Will Benefit Florida Travelers

A new joint venture between Uber ride share and Delta Air Lines will benefit travelers in the Sunshine State. According to Liberty Partners of Tallahassee LLC, Uber riders will be able to experience perks such as airport pickup and drop-off services at Delta hubs, while Delta SkyMiles members will be able to earn miles for Uber Eats orders and Uber rides. Users will be able to link their Uber and SkyMiles accounts to take advantage of these rewards, with the goal being to make airport travel simpler and more efficient.

Liberty Partners says the deal with Uber and Delta Air Lines is a multi-year partnership offering exclusive benefits to their shared customers. Some of the other customer perks will include Delta SkyMiles members, who can earn miles for Uber rides and Uber Eats orders, while Uber users will gain perks like improved airport pickup and drop-off services at Delta hubs.

The partnership was announced by Delta CEO Ed Bastian and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi at the Consumer Electronics Show, aims to enhance convenience for travelers.

Through the collaboration, customers can link their SkyMiles and Uber accounts to unlock rewards. Uber users will earn one SkyMile per dollar spent on UberX rides to and from airports, with increased rewards for premium services like Uber Comfort and Uber Black. Additionally, Uber Eats orders over $40 will earn one mile per dollar spent, and SkyMiles can be redeemed for Delta flights, hotel bookings, and more.

Highlighting the partnership, Khosrowshahi stated that the goal is to make airport travel easier and more efficient. He expressed excitement about shaping the future of travel through this collaboration, which positions Uber as Delta’s exclusive rideshare and delivery partner.
