New Conservative ‘Florida First’ Coalition Launches to Champion Energy, Environmental, Climate Solutions in Red Florida

The Florida First Energy Alliance (FFEA), a coalition of leaders across the Sunshine State, announces its launch with a mission to promote energy, climate, and environmental solutions that put the state – and the U.S. — first.

FFEA says it plans to tackle Florida’s various energy, climate, and environmental challenges and advance sound, conservative solutions.

The group wants to see Republicans deal with this issue head-on. “For too long, Democrats have claimed the environment as exclusively their issue. We’re here to push back, to showcase what Florida’s Republicans have already brought forth, combat the command-and-control eco-agenda, and advance our own approaches to Florida’s energy, climate, and environmental challenges. We need real, effective, conservative solutions,” said FFEA.

FFEA says a top priority is clearly understanding the imperative of protecting the environment without hamstringing businesses.

Yanni Psareas, the Managing Director of the FFEA, talked about the success Florida Republicans have had on a local, state, and federal level, moving forward with legislation from Governor DeSantis and GOP statehouse leadership’s historic investment in water quality and the Everglades. “This is who we conservatives are,” said Psareas.

GOP leaders have also called for pushback against China’s environmental policies and promote more when it comes to nuclear power.

“Florida conservatives have shown we can lead the state in the correct direction.  It is high time that we do a better job educating the public on how we can and will continue to step up to the plate for a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous tomorrow,” said FFEA.
