By Ed Dean

A new study by a Personal Injury Lawyer in Washington, Phillips Law Firm revealed the jobs that are set to be the deadliest in 2025.

The research was conducted by the Phillips Law Firm which examined the rate of fatal injuries per occupation from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries for the years 2018-2022.

The past numbers is used as predictions of which professions may be the deadliest for workers in 2025.

Fallers are set to be the deadliest profession this year, followed by Farmworkers working with animals are set to be the next most deadly job. Commercial drivers are projected to be the third most deadly job in 2025.

Top 10 jobs set to be the deadliest in 2025:

  • Tree Fallers.
  • Farmworkers, farm, ranch, and aquacultural animals.
  • Commercial drivers.
  • Tree trimmers and pruners.
  • Farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural managers
  • Derrick operators, oil and gas.
  • Helpers-Roofers followed by Commercial pilots.

The number of employees per occupation per year was also gathered from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for the same years.

Per occupation and year, the number of fatal injuries per 10,000 employees was calculated. From this, the annual fatal injury per 10,000 increase was calculated for all adjoining years and then averaged. This was then ranked from highest to lowest.

Using the average annual fatal injury per 10,000 people increase and the number of fatal injuries per 10,000 in 2022 per occupation, the expected number of fatal injuries per 10,000 in 2025 was calculated and also ranked from highest to lowest.
