Op-Ed: Trump Has Won. What’s Next?

The Left and Democrats are in total shock as former President Donald Trump gave a good ol’boy shellacking to Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the White House.

Do you know what feels better than Trump drumming Harris?

It is seeing the post-election whining and utter confusion by Joe & Mika, Joy, Jake, Nicole, Van, The View, ad nauseum who cannot fathom how voters allowed Trump to regain the presidency. They were so full of themselves, looking down their arrogant noses at the average Joe and Jane in America, they cannot comprehend nor understand what went wrong.

You can bet that first they are going to blame President Joe Biden and rightfully so as he is to blame for much of this election debacle such as when in 2020 that he campaigned as a centrist from the basement, professed unity and then governed as a far left liberal and stoked divisions among our countrymen almost as bad as former President Barrack Obama did.

He then picked Kamala Harris, a token DEI candidate, to be his running mate and then once elected he ran away from her as she became a huge liability rather than a key asset. Over time as his mental acuity diminished to the point that his staff had to keephim away from press conferences and Q&A’s so as to not prove to the American people that he could no longer govern.

All the while Kamala proved to be her own worst enemy. She could not keep staff because of her rantings, bullying, and screaming, and she could not put together a coherent sentence to save her life. Whenever she was given an assignment, like the Southern Border, or Artificial Intelligence (actually I think she was perfect for the “artificial” part of the it) she could not enunciate a sound policy position, she never was able to move the needle on any issue. In addition, she could not separate herself from Biden, and she compounded her problems when she could not name a single thing she would change from her four years in the administration, her nonsensical answers to mostly lame questions, and her insistence on answering any question by pivoting to a canned answer that had become rote for her. Her performance, or lack thereof, showed Americans that she was neither battle-tested nor prepared to be President, nor did she exhibit the depth of intellect to govern our country.

Of course, it did not help that her Hollywood elite friends are not perceived by Americans as the answer to anything, and her use of the Clintons, Obamas, and Joe Biden, showed how out of touch these former Democratic leaders were in trying to persuade Democrats and undecided voters to support her.

Consequently, she ran substantially behind Biden  in most states, she fumbled away important vote margins among males, Blacks, Latins, and surprisingly young voters. Her Democratic handlers believed that by having these over-the-hill Democratic leaders’ campaign for her that it would bridge the “connection gap” that Harris had. In some cases, these folks made matters worse by Obama lecturing Blacks that they cannot be afraid of women leaders, or Bill telling folks that a college student would not have died if the illegal immigrant had been “properly vetted” or President Biden’s slip of the tongue comments on “We need to lock him (Trump) up” and that Trump voters are “garbage” all proved that these folks were hurtful to her cause. To make matters worse, the mainstream media, MSNBC, and CNN, continued to tell their listeners every day, even up to Election Day, that Harris was going to win, which now leaves poor Democratic snowflakes in a mental meltdown. The mainstream media is not going to tell the truth, and they were never going to expose the problems of Harris’ campaign, and so they are a serious part of the Democrat’s problem.

What happens next to Kamala? Her first job is to gracefully and timely concede, which she has failed to do until late on November 6th, an inexcusable and classless abrogation of political protocol. Her comments to Trump while conceding the election for a “peaceful transfer of power” is laughable and an affront to Trump and all of his supporters. Next she is to preside at the January 6th (what irony!) meeting of the Electoral Collegeto oversee the certification of the delegate’s votes from each state to formally confirm Trumps victory. No doubt, there will be shrill voices from Democratic elected officials around the country to try and deny the presidency to The Donald, but we have seen and heard this all before.

Beyond January 20th, the best that Kamala can hope for is to slink back to California and lick her wounds. She will not be a major factor in 2028 because she squandered her chances in 2020 and 2024, and meanwhile the next generation of Democratic elected officials will be working hard to garner support for their nascent campaigns to become the next nominee.

Whether the National Democratic Committee will conduct a serious and objective analysis of their lopsided and embarrassing loss is open to question. Why? Because it means a deep and insightful look at Wokeism, Socialism versus Capitalism, the values that Hollywood and Intellectual Elites hold dear that most Americans fear, and the opposing factions within the Party that constantly are demanding that only their view is correct.

What is most important to Americans?

For President Trump to get working on reversing the direction of our country. It will not be easy, and it will not happen quickly, but he must take definitive, common sensical actions to right the wrongs of the Far Left from the last four years.

The challenge will be if a Republican Senate and hopefully a Republican House can work cooperatively to prove that they can govern effectively. With some RINO Republicans gone, there are still some moderate Republicans in the US Senate representing Alaska and Maine who we cannot count on to support the majority’s view. Worse will be the close margin, if Republicans maintain control of the House, to get the unruly band of GOP rebels to find compromise so that the legislative branch can move Trump’s agenda forward.

Previously, the House has been the Achilles Heel of the two chambers and since midterm elections are right around the corner, it is imperative that all GOP caucus members put aside their ideological differences to show that they can make things happen, especially when everyone has an “R” behind their name. The legislative Democrats are guilty of many things, but one thing that you have to give them credit for is their willingness to coalesce to pass legislation. Repub’s consistently have failed to prove their mettle in this regard.

In these last days of the Biden-Harris administration, we will continue to see President Biden just going through the motions of being president while sunbathing on the beach. If Democrats are smart, and that is indeed a debatable question, they will cede all  lawfare against President-elect Trump and put it behind them and move forward. President Biden will now be forced to issue a pardon for both himself and his felon, cocaine-son Hunter, which he said he would never do. He will then go into the dustbin of presidential history as one of the very worst presidents in our history – and certainly the most corrupt.

As for the lamenting that Trump will take aggressive actions against Biden, Hunter, Hillary, Adam Schiff, et. al, do not count on it. President Trump did not go after Crooked Hillary last time, and he will not go after any of these inept and flawed individuals as it is not his style. Trump will want to move forward, and that is what Americans want too. We do not want revenge, even though that is what the Democrats have been doing for the last four years; we want action to get our country progressing.

The Democrats should be able to figure this out, but the Democratic political talking heads and pundits just cannot comprehend how a boisterous, narcissistic, convicted felon, foul-talking, twice impeached ex-president can be elected as our country’s leader once again. What they seemingly do not appreciate is that their unwise and ill-advised actions against Trump made them feel like if it could happen to a billionaire who the Dem’s loathed, then government can and will be used against them. And then Democrats went on to prove Americans right by siccing the FBI on parents protesting woke school policies and the IRS demanding citizens illegally held abroad by our enemies to pay their back taxes immediately.

While Americans love their country and know inherently that we are the greatest democracy in the history of the world, we also fear the Deep State, or as Trump now calls them, the “Enemy Within.” Along with the “Fake News,” the  faceless, nameless bureaucrats that control the levers of power in the federal bureaucracy have become so ensconced in our daily lives that we now understand that our demise is most profound from within our own ranks.

Democrats will scoff at this thought, but Americans believe it. Voters just proved to the Far Left, do not take us for granted or that we are just lemmings to be led off the cliff. We appreciate the power of voting, and we will wield it when it is necessary to prove to the naysayers that we know the right thing to do when given the opportunity, and that chance comes every four years.

We do not worry about the alleged “threat to democracy” by Trump as it did not happen the first time. We are more concerned about the silent, behind-the-scenes machinations that the Democrats have performed over the last four years, and we will not stand for it any longer!
