Orlando Ranks Among 10 Least Affordable Average Rent Prices in Nation

Orlando has been ranked among the top 10 U.S. cities with the least affordable rent prices, according to a recent WalletHub report. The study analyzed over 180 cities, comparing median annual rents to median household incomes. Orlando’s median annual rent is approximately $19,800, while the median household income stands at $69,268. This means rent consumes about 28.6% of the average household income, placing Orlando as the 7th least affordable city for renters in the nation .

The report highlights that in some cities, rent payments can account for up to 33% of the median income, exacerbating financial strain for residents. This affordability issue is part of a broader trend observed in various metropolitan areas across the country.
