Florida Ranks Among Top-Rated Locations for Employees at Apple, Microsoft, Meta

Glassdoor.com is a website where current and former employees anonymously review companies. Their latest research, partnering up with Switch On Business, analyzed employee reviews between January 2023 and October 2024 on big tech companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta.

Their data found Florida ranks as one of the top locations for employees at Apple, Microsoft, and Meta.

On a scale from 1 to 5, this is how Florida employees rated working at the following companies:

Apple: 4.27 — the third highest-rated state for working at Apple.

Microsoft: 4.38 — the leading state to work for Microsoft.

Meta: 4.29 — the best state to work for Meta employees.

Big tech has been under scrutiny by government officials and users of their platforms. The federal government accuses big tech of being too large. META users complained that there was too much content moderation on it social media sites. Federal authorities claim TikTok is a threat to national security while others say it’s more about free speech.

However, the findings by Glass Door and Switch On Business showed that those employed by big tech enjoy working for their company.

“’Employee ratings suggest that working for the tech giants is a positive experience in general,” the report read.

However, the report also found employee reviews suggested that many would benefit from more effective middle management and upper management who listen to them.
