Florida Early Voting Opens with More Republicans Casting More Votes at the Polls than Democrats
With two days of early voting on record in Florida’s record books, registered Republican voters outnumbered Democrats at in-person polls, while Democrats led Republicans in mail ballots returned. Miami-Dade County had the largest tally, with 34,173 Republicans voting in person during the first two days, compared to 23,070.

Duval County, home to Jacksonville, could be considered a microcosm for the divide nation. After two days, Duval had 22,173 Republicans cast in-person early votes, while the Democrats weren’t far behind, with 19,525.
Broward County, historically a stronghold for the Democratic Party, touted the highest number of Democratic ballots cast, with 24,935, compared to 17,397.

Among mail-in votes, Democrats led Republicans statewide, with 632,167 ballots returned, while Republicans returned 542,112. Third-party voters returned 30,052, and independent voters returned 284,022.
